MEET PENDEE — Four Elephants. Four Blessings.
In Thai tradition, the elephant is a guardian of good fortune — a symbol of strength, wisdom, and protection passed down through generations. But every elephant carries its own spirit. Its own way of bringing luck into the world. That is why we created four.
Pendee is our little elephant — In the villages of Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, there is a belief — that on the night the first rice blooms, a little elephant appears from the edge of the fields. No one knows where it comes from. No name. No gender. Only kind eyes, and a quiet smile. The villagers call it “Chang Pendee” — the elephant that brings good fortune to all who meet it.
The day our first piece was finished, one of our makers held it up and said softly, “Pendee jang.” (What a little charmer.)
That moment became our name. And that was the beginning of everything.
